The Department of Chemistry started functioning from 19 August 1985. This Department caters to the needs of the first year B.E/B.Tech and also B.Tech Chemical Engineering programme. The Department has qualified and well experienced faculty and staff. The Department is engaged in teaching and research in the areas of Corrosion Science, Environmental Chemistry and Organic Synthesis. All the faculty members possess Ph.D. qualification.
