ASSOCIATION OF AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERS (AAE)

The Association of Automobile Engineers (AAE) is formed with a view to exposing the students to various co-curricular activities like industrial visits, guest lectures etc.

The following activities are the highlights of association:

Arranging guest lectures by eminent academicians and industrialists at least one per month

Arranging indstrial visits to at least three industries per semester

Conducting a National level technical symposium titles 'TRAXION', where students from all over the country participate in various events like paper presentations, quiz, exhibitions and various technical competitions

In addition to all above activities, the society encourages students to participate in various technical programs conducted by other institutions.

Events Organized

 

  • The Association of Automobile Engineers (AAE) & SAE Collegiate Club of SVCE was inaugurated by V. P. Ranganathan, DGM (Engg. & Development), Simpson & Co. Ltd., Chennai for the Academic year 2016-17 held at Biotech Conference hall, SVCE on 25th July 2016. He also delivered a lecture on the topic “Careers In Automotive Industries”.

 

  • Senthil Kumar Govindan, Principal Member - R & D, Tractors and Farm Equipments Ltd., Chennai inaugurated the Symposium TRAXION 2016 & AUTO EXPO held at Video hall, SVCE on 27th August 2016 and delivered a lecture on the topic “Field to Table – A Green Revolution” for the students. The various events conducted on the occasion include Paper Pitch, Brain Drain, Pit Stop, Head Start, AUTO EXPO, Spot Events and Demonstration of Mini projects by Second year B.E-Automobile Engineering students of SVCE. About 220 Students from various engineering colleges spread across the state of Tamilnadu participated in the event.

 

  • The Valedictory of Symposium TRAXION 2016 was presided over by Dr. K. Bhaskar, Professor& Head, Dept. of Automobile Engineering, Rajalakshmi Engineering College held at Video hall, SVCE on 27th August 2016. He distributed the prizes to the winners of the various events conducted and delivered a lecture on the topic “Future of Automotive Design – An Overview” for the students.
  • G. Nagarajan, Professor & Head, IC Engineering division, Anna University, Chennai delivered a guest lecture on the topic “Alternate fuels for IC Engines – Present Scenario” held at Video hall on 6.01.2017 for our B.E - Automobile Engineering Students.

  1. The Association of Automobile Engineers (AAE) & SAE Collegiate Club of SVCE was inaugurated by M. Senthil Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Automobile Engineering. M.I.T Campus, Anna University for the Academic year 2015-16 held at Function hall, SVCE on 20th July 2015. He also delivered a lecture on the topic “IC Engines - Combustion, Pollution & Alternative fuels”.

 

  1. K.V. Ramanan, General Manager - Corporate Quality & Training, Western Thomson Group inaugurated the Symposium TRAXION 2015 & AUTO EXPO held at Function hall, SVCE on 29th August 2015 and delivered a lecture on the topic Manufacturing Excellence in Automotive Industries for the students. The various events conducted on the occasion include Paper presentation, Auto Quiz, Business plan, DC Rally, AUTO EXPO, Spot Events and Demonstration of Mini projects by Second year B.E-Automobile Engineering students of SVCE. About 220 Students from various engineering colleges spread across the state of Tamilnadu participated in the event.

He distributed the prizes to the winners of the various events conducted and delivered a lecture on the topic “Emerging Trends in Automotive systems” for the students.
