The Department has eight qualified and experienced faculty members, all of whom are recognized research supervisors of Anna University. The faculty actively engage in research across diverse and emerging areas of Chemistry and Environmental Science, including photocatalysis, organic synthesis, batteries, fuel cells, nanochemistry, materials chemistry, environmental science, and corrosion studies.

The Department is supported by three dedicated technical staff members who efficiently manage and maintain the laboratories, ensuring smooth conduct of practical sessions and research activities.

In addition to their academic and research contributions, the faculty members actively collaborate with various engineering departments in guiding and supporting student minor projects, thereby fostering interdisciplinary learning and practical problem-solving among students.
