About Indian Concrete Institute (ICI)

The Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) is one of the leading professional associations in India and caters to the professional needs of the individuals and organisations involved in the concrete construction industry. Today ICI is a strong professional body having more than 13,000 enrolled members, from 44 regional Centres in all major cities. Our ICI Student Chapter was initiated in February 2019 with 54 students and 4 faculty members. ICI Chennai Centre helps in conducting various guest lectures, site visits and workshops which are beneficial for students.

Objectives of ICI:

• To promote growth of concrete construction and its sub specializations.
• To disseminate information and to arrange to train personnel for the needs of changing concepts in the technology.
• To collaborate with national & international agencies in creating better understanding of concrete - material, design & construction technology.
• To identify and assign research & development problems of practical relevance to concrete.
