• Completed the rigorous Pre-Commission (PRCN) Course at the NCC Officer Training Academy (OTA), Kamptee (January–April 2026). Subsequently commissioned as a Sub Lieutenant and Associate NCC Officer (ANO) for the 4TN Naval Tech Unit NCC, Anna University.
• Dr. V. Ganesh, Associate Professor & A. HoD, along with Mr. R. Sakthivel, Mr. A.K. Boobalasenthilraj, and Dr. Ramanjaneyulu Kolla, Assistant Professors, Department of Automobile Engineering, SVCE, have successfully secured an externally funded project from The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The project, titled “Study of Windscreen Wiping and Washing Systems and Their Components,” has been sanctioned with a grant of ₹9.30 lakhs.
• Abinandan P, Yeshwanth K, and Elango K under the guidance of Mr. R. Sakthivel, Assistant Professor has submitted the project he project titled “Optimizing Aerodynamics to Minimize Drag and Air Resistance in Vehicle Design” has been sanctioned under the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology – Project Scheme, with a funding amount of ₹0.075 lakhs.
• Received the funds from SVCE management for the Scheme Intramural Research Grant (SVCE-IRG-2023-2024) for the project titled “Design and implementation of variable braking force System on a two wheeler”.
• Received the SVCE Intramural Innovative Funded Project for the UG Project titled “DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION of a Two-Wheeler Anti Lock Braking System with an Intelligent Controller”
• Mr. R. Sakthivel, Assistant Professor, received the First Prize in Paper Presentation entitled “Design and Analysis of Variable Braking Force System of the Two Wheeler” under the Automobile Engineering stream conducted during the SVCE Faculty Research Day 2023.
• Mr. R. Sakthivel, Assistant Professor, achieved a notable milestone by becoming a reviewer for the BOHR International Journal of Engineering (BIJE) at Bohr Publishers on September 7, 2023, and the SAE Technical Papers on September 11, 2023, thereby enhancing his contributions to the academic and editorial aspects of engineering research.

• Mr. R. Sakthivel, Assistant Professor in the Department of Automobile Engineering at SVCE, has received a certificate in recognition of his review contribution to the Measurement: Sensor journal in the month of March 2023.
• Mr. R. Sakthivel, Assistant Professor received appreciation from SAE Technical Papers for review of the Manuscript 23NETP-0225 titled “Enhancing Aerodynamic Performance of a Formula Car through Design Modification and Evaluation” on 11.10.2023.
• Mr. Gopalakrishnan. E, Mr. Ramakrishnan B R and Mr. Shree Ram Vishaal S, Final year UG students of the Department of Automobile Engineering, received Intramural grant for the year 2021-2022. They received a grant of Rs. 10,000/- for the project titled “Design and Simulation of Hybrid electric two wheeler”. The project is mentored by Mr. R. Sakthivel Assistant Professor/AUT.
