About Us

CARE - Concern , Awareness, Responsibility for Enviornment is a student-run organization that works with peers, faculty, and community to create environmental consciousness among public, in general, and students, in particular. It motivates students to have a eco-friendly life style and attempts make SVCE a more sustainable campus by converting green ideas into reality.

Its members have been volunteering their services to Senaapathy Kangayam Cattle Research Foundation, Students Sea Turtle Conservation Network (SSTCN) and Environment Monitoring and Action Initiating (EMAI).

CARE’s major projects include Save our Sparrows, creating micro habitats in urban landscapes, Junk art, and documenting flora and fauna.

Volunteers of CARE have won WIPRO Earthian award (2013) and (2015)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_N7SjT0rmY and Sustainability Challenge - a competition for Colleges in Asia-Pacific. Supported by UNEP aimed at promoting sustainability in educational Institutions
