In the current scenario, quality is a vital determinant of business success. Business organizations need to focus on quality improvement on a continual basis if they want to remain in business in the long run. It is well known fact that organizations which focus on quality continually usually have larger market share, greater profits, and a happier workforce. Thus, it can be said that quality is a key ingredient for business success in any industry. In order to continually improve the quality of products and services, organizations need to focus on enhancing the knowledge and skill level of their people. This is essential because only through knowledge people can understand the business processes better and by application of knowledge they can work on improving them so as to meet ever increasing customer expectations.
Keeping the industry requirement of enhancing knowledge and skill level of people in mind, the Department of Mechanical engineering of our college has initiated Quality Management Centre(QMC) in the college. The centre would focus more on Institution-Industry-Interaction on quality related training and consultation.
