International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2019
Yoga session on Friday, 21 June 2019 celebrating the International Day of Yoga was organized in the premises of 4 (TN) Naval Tech Unit NCC, Anna University Campus, Chennai. 15 NCC NAVY cadets from SVCE along with NCC Navy Officer had participated in the event. Yoga session started at 7.00 AM and the cadets followed the instructions and demonstrations cadets expert in yoga. Yoga session lasted for 50 minutes.
Swachh Bharat Summer Internship 2019
Adopted village: Santhavelur, Sriperumbudur Taluk
Location: On Chennai Bangalore NH about 15 km from the college towards Kancheepuram
Details of the village: This village is with a population of about 5000 people.

Swachh Bharat Summer Internship camp 2019 (50 hours) was carried out in the village during 3rd - 26th July 2019. School children and village population were explained the importance of cleanliness of surroundings. Management of domestic waste was explained to them and they were asked to spread the message to their friends and family. The ill effects of open defecation and the importance of keeping the surroundings clean were explained to the villagers by door to door campaign, they have agreed to use the toilets. Those who were not having toilets in their house were explained about the government schemes and subsidy for building toilets in their house.
Guest Lecture on the occasion of
International Day against Drug Abuse (26 June 2019)A Guest Lecture was given to the school children by NCC Navy officer on the ill effects of Drug abuse. They were explained the health issues of individuals abusing drug and dangers of driving vehicles under the influence of drug. The social economic burden of the family due to the individuals addicted to drug were also explained. The children were encouraged to explain these aspects to their parents and family members. School Head Mistress Smt. Mahalakshmi was also present during the lecture. Snacks (Biscuit Packets) were distributed to the school children after the lecture.
Jal Diwas Day
was observed in the college on 22 July 2019. An awareness lecture was given to the students by the NCC NAVY officer on the importance of Water Conservation on top priority. The current status of ground water level across various districts in the country was discussed. Water conservation and water reuse technologies were discussed in detail. The students were made to understand their role and responsibility towards the society in this regard. They were advised to make all efforts to conserve water and spread this message to the public.

Independence day was celebrated in the Campus on 15 August 2019. Prof.R.Anitha, HoD/CSE was the chief guest and addressed the NCC cadets (Army, Navy and Air force), students and the parents gathered on that day. Principal Prof.S.Ganesh Vaidyanathan presided over the function. Tree saplings were planted in the college campus on that day.
