Significance of NCC

                           National Cadet Corps is the largest voluntary youth organization in the world with more than 13 lakh youthful cadets throughout the country. The aim of NCC is to develop character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular outlook, Spirit of adventure and the ethics of selfless service. NCC prepares a Human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life and always available for the service of the nation. NCC also provides suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the armed forces. 

 

SVCE is one of the very few institutions in India having all three wing of NCC namely Army, Navy and Air wing.

 

NCC NAVY

NCC Naval division was inaugurated on 12th September 2003 with a sanctioned strength of 50 cadets. 

NCC Naval division in SVCE is attached with 4 (TN) Naval Tech Unit NCC, Guindy, Which is the only Naval Technical NCC unit in India.
