About the Department
The Department of Automobile Engineering was started in the year 1999 with sanctioned intake of 30. The intake was increased from 30 to 60 in the year 2009. The department has well-qualified and experienced faculty and staff members of proven ability and administrative skills. It has well equipped state-of-the-art laboratories that cater to the needs of the students.The department is actively engaged in teaching and research in the areas of Automobile Engineering and related areas.The department is accredited for three years in the year of 2018 by National Board of Accreditation.
To be a forerunner in producing Competent and Responsible Engineers in the field of Automobile and Associated areas to meet the ever-changing needs of the Global Automotive Industry and the Society.

Program Specific Outcomes
PSO1: Apply the concepts of theory of automotive powertrain and to design and develop the modern engines, transmission systems and alternative propulsion system.
PSO2: Apply the concepts of various subsystems to design and analyze the performance of brakes, suspension, steering and electrical/electronic components.
