Academic Year 2021 - 22
• Mr. Nithish vardan, A.V.J, Mr. Sudharsan.S, Mr. Kaarthikeyan.S, Final year UG student of the Department of Automobile Engineering, received a grant through Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST - STUDENT PROJECT SCHEME) for the year 2021-2022. They received a grant of Rs. 7500 for the project titled "Design of IOT based vehicle air conditioning alert system" (Project No. EME-0277 and S.No. 1002). The project mentored by Dr.V.Ganesh, Associate Professor/AUT.
• A project titled Design and simulation of Hybrid Electric Two Wheeler by Mr. E. Gopalakrishnan, Mr. B. R. Ramakrishnan, and Mr. S. Shree Ram Vishaal, from Final Year guided by Mr. R. Sakthivel, AP/AUT received intramural funding for the Academic Year 2021 - 2022 of Rs.10000/-
Academic Year 2020 - 21
• A project titled "Advance driver Interface" by Mr. M. Arunshankar, Mr. Akanksh Ananth, Mr. B. Avinash, final year students, guided by Mr. A. K. Boobalasenthilraj, AP/AUT received the intramural fund, worth of Rs.10000/- for the Academic Year 2020 - 2021.
Academic Year 2019 - 20
• Mr V Raghuraman, Mr S Gokul, Mr A Manoj Kumar and Mr N Dhivakkar, Final year UG students of the Department of Automobile Engineering, received a grant through Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST) for the year 2019-2020. They received a grant of Rs. 7500/- for the project titled "Design and fabrication of load adaptive braking system on a two wheeler(EME-049). The project is mentored by Dr V Ganesh, Professor and Mr. Ramanjaneyulu Kolla, Assistant Professor/AUT.
• A project titled Advance Driver Inertface ( Brake Health Monitor) by Mr. G. Charan, Mr. R. Venkateshwaran, and Mr. A. Ezhilarasan, final year students, guided by Mr. A. K. Boobalasenthilraj, AP/AUT received the intramural fund, worth of Rs.10000/- for the Academic Year 2019 - 2020.

• Mr.D.Kamalesh. Mr.A.V.J Nithish Varadhan and Mr.Sudarshan. S, Second year B.E Automobile Engineering attended a one day guest lecture on "Machine learning- Introduction" at Alpha College of Engineering on 06.08.2019.
• Mr.R.Pugazhenthi, Mr.S.Lohith, Mr.Akash Mohan, Mr.Shanmugam and Mr.S.Saran Raj, Second year B.E Automobile Engineering attended a four day FKDC workshop at Pune from 29.07.2019 to 01.08.2019.
• Mr.J Shoab Akthar, Second year B.E Automobile Engineering student attended a one day guest lecture at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) on 30.07.2019.
• 16 students from Second and third year B.E Automobile Engineering have attended One Day workshop on Automotive Suspension Systems on 9th January 2020 at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering.
• 21 students from Second and third year B.E Automobile Engineering have attended a Ten Day Workshop on "Automotive Embedded Systems with IoT and Cloud Computing" from 17.07.2019 to 28.07.2019 organized by Department of Automobile Engineering in association with Department of Computer Science Engineering at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering.
• Mr AVJ Nithishvardan and Mr. S. Sudharsan, Second year B.E Automobile Engineering Students presented a technical paper titled "Secondary Tire Inflation system for blown out tire" in the International Conference on Technological advancements in Materials design, Manufacturing and Energy sectors (ICTAMDMES '20) at St.Joseph College of Engineering, Chennai on February 21 2020.
• Sudharsan Ananth , Shaahid Irfaan Sha , Anish Prabhu R from Third year B.E Automobile Engineering students presented a paper titled "Design And Development Of Super Capacitor And Circuits For Electric Vehicles" in 2nd International Conference on Recent Innovations and Developments in Mechanical Engineering (ICRIDME2k19) organized by Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research held on 15th November, 2019.
Academic Year 2018 - 19
• Mr.K.Arun Kumar, Mr.M.Arun Shankar and Mr.B.Avinash, students of third year, Department of Automobile Engineering, under the guidance of Dr.Ganesh V, ASP/AUT, completed a working model titled "Flashing an Automotive Fuel Injector in Preset Time", at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, during August 2019.
• Twenty one students from Automobile Engineering Department have attended a Ten day workshop on "Automotive Embedded System with IoT and Cloud Computing" organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with Department of Automobile Engineering during 17th to 28th June 2019.
• Mr.Manoj Kumar.A, a student of third year, Department of Automobile Engineering, published a paper titled "Design of Collision Force Damping System for the Safety of Vehicle using ToF Infrared LiDAR Sensor" in IOSR Journal of Mechanical and Civil Engineering, dated on 5th June 2019.
• Mr.Dinesh.A.K, a student of final year, Department of Automobile Engineering, under the supervision of Mr. R.Sakthivel, AP/AUT, presented a paper titled "Radio Frequency Identification Based on Speed Controller" in NCETMEA'19 Organized by SRM Institute of Science and Technology held on 2nd April, 2019.
• Forty students from Automobile Engineering Department have attended a Two day "Hands on training Basic Fusion welding Practices" organized by Department of Automobile Engineering in association with Department of Marine engineering during 10th & 11th April 2019.
• Mr.Manoj Kumar.A, a student of third year, Department of Automobile Engineering, published a paper tilted "Detection and Navigation of Nearest Fuel Station Using IRNSS with IoT " in IOSR journal of Mechanical and Civil Engineering, dated on 29th March 2019.
• Mr.B.Yoneshwar, Mr.N.Vishal, and Mr.S.V.Karthik Varshan, students of final Year, Department of Automobile Engineering, under the supervision of Mr. A. K. Boobalasenthilraj, AP/AUT and Dr. P.Raghu, AP/MEC, presented a paper titled "Spray characteristic study of Corn Oil Methyl Ester for various number of nozzle holes" in Second International Conference on Sustainable Energy Resources, Materials and Technologies (ISERMAT-2019), 14-15 March 2019.
