SOCIETY OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERS (SAE)

SAE Collegiate Club of SVCE is formed in our institution with many Professional members and Student members from the Department of Automobile Engineering and Department of Mechanical Engineering. The majority of the automobile students of SVCE are the members of SAE, Which is the society especially for the automobile engineers. It is the Society, which connects the automobile engineers across the world.

SAE Collegiate Club of SVCE actively participating in SAE activities like Student Convention, SAE Trek, Top Tech Programs, KRT Club events, etc.,. Most of our students are having student membership and frequently they participate in the competitions that are conducted by SAE India Southern Section. They won prizes too.

Every year a team comprises of 15 Automobile Engineering and 10 Mechanical Engineering students actively participating in BAJA SAEINDIA Competition at Pithampur, Indore or Chandigarh.

    Academic Year 2019 - 20
  • Our college team "TRAXION RACING" consisting of 15 Automobile and 7 Mechanical Engineering students guided by Mr. R. Sakthivel, Assistant Professor, Department of Automobile Engineering & Mr. J. Sivaramapandian, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering participated in the FORMULA BHARAT 2020 held at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India between Jan 22 and 26, 2020. Our team has obtained the overall 29th Rank out of 72 teams shortlisted among 150 teams in the first level of competitions.
  • Our college team "TRAXION RACING" consisting of 15 Automobile and 7 Mechanical Engineering students participated in the FORMULA BHARAT 2020, held at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India between January 22 and 26, 2020. Our team has secured the overall 29th Rank out of 72 teams shortlisted among 150 teams in the first level of competitions.
  • Our college team "TEAM TYRANTS " consisting of 23 Automobile Engineering students guided by Mr. G. Ravi Assistant Professor, Department of Automobile Engineering, participated in the National Level Go Kart Design Challenge (GKDC) competition held at Kari Motors Speedway, Coimbatore, between 10..02.20 and 14.02.20. The team secured 16 th rank out of 150 teams in the final event.

  • Mr. Nithish vardan, A.V.J, Mr. Sudharsan.S, Mr. Kaarthikeyan.S, Final year UG student of the Department of Automobile Engineering, received a grant through Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST - STUDENT PROJECT SCHEME) for the year 2021-2022. They received a grant of Rs. 7500 for the project titled "Design of IOT based vehicle air conditioning alert system" (Project No. EME-0277 and S.No. 1002). The project mentored by Dr.V.Ganesh, Associate Professor/AUT.
  • Our college team " TEAM TRAXION" consisting of 15 Automobile and 10 Mechanical Engineering students guided by Mr. R. Sakthivel, Assistant Professor, Department of Automobile Engineering & Mr. G. Logachandar, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering participated in the FORMULA BHARAT 2019 held at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India between Jan 23 and 27, 2019. Our team has obtained the overall 39th Rank out of 100 teams shortlisted among 150 teams in the first level of competitions.
  • Our college team "Traxion" consists of 15 Automobile and Mechanical Engineering students guided by Dr. V. Ganesh, ASP/AE and Mr. A. K. Boobalasenthilraj, AP/AE have participated in National level Virtual BAJA SAEINDIA 2019, which is a qualifier round for SAEINDIA BAJA 2019 event held at Chitkara University, Punjab, India between 12.07.2018 to 14.07.2018. Our Team has qualified for participating in SAEINDIA BAJA 2019 as one amongst the 220 teams out of 305 teams. The team was accompanied with Mr. A. K. Boobalasenthilraj, AP/AE.
  • Our college team "Traxion" consists of 15 Automobile and Mechanical Engineering students guided by Dr. V. Ganesh, ASP/AE and Mr. A. K. Boobalasenthilraj, AP/AE have participated in National level SAEINDIA BAJA 2019 event held at IIT Ropar, Rupnagar, Punjab, India between 07.03.2019 to 11.03.2019. Our Team has positioned 25th Rank out of 83 teams. The team was accompanied with Dr. V. Ganesh, ASP/AE.
