2025-26

• Ms.A. Jenisha (2019-23 Batch), Project Coordinator, Cushman and Wakefield, Chennai delivered “Alumni Success Story” in Pathways 2026 on 16th April 2026.
• Mr. R. Prashanth, (2013- 17 batch) Senior Engineer (Concrete Buildings) at 'Dar Al-Handasah' delivered Partial Content Delivery for the course "СE22022 Prestressed Concrete Structures" were conducted in online mode. The sessions were conducted for the final year students on 11.10.2025 and 25.10.2025.
• The inauguration of the Civil Engineering Association (CEA) for the academic year 2025-26 was held on 11.08.2025. The event was honoured by the presence Ms. S. Abinaya, (2014-18) Structural Engineer, Buildings Department COWI, Chennai as the chief guest. As part of the event, Ms. S. Abinaya delivered a guest lecture on the topic "Exploring Dynamic Careers in Civil Engineering"

• The Department of Civil Engineering, SVCE, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sreerosh Properties, Chennai, on July 25, 2025. Mr. Hiren Sreedharan, (2018-2022 Batch), is the Management Executive of this company. In connection to the MoU with Sreerosh Properties, the final year students went for an industrial visit to observe various activities involved in a Multi-story residential building construction on 07.10.2025.

2024-25

• Ms. Akriitha K (2019-23 Batch), MS Construction Management and Technology, Arizona State University, USA, delivered “Alumni Success Story - From SVCE to the States: My Journey in Construction Management” in Pathways 2025 on 5th May 2025.
• Mr. Nithin Vishveswaran (2011–2015 Batch), Managing Director of NV Infra, Chennai, delivered the inaugural address at ARTIFEX’25, a National-Level Technical Symposium organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) on February 20, 2025.
• Mr. Venkata Prashanth M (2011–2015 Batch), Senior Design Engineer at Menard, USA, delivered an Alumni Talk on the topic "Ground Improvement Techniques and Its Applications" on 10th February 2025.
• Mr. Pradeep A (2012-2016 Batch), MD, Sekaran Foundations, visited the campus as an evaluator for the fourth edition of icube on 8th February 2025.
• Ms. Suhani Singha (2012-2016 Batch), Campus Lead, COE at Godrej Properties Limited, delivered a guest lecture on "What HRs Look for in a Resume" on 28th September 2024.
• Ms. Divya S S (2014-2018 Batch), Continuous Improvement Specialist at GRUNDFOS, delivered a webinar on "Driving Operational Excellence through Continuous Improvement" on 14th September 2024.
• Ms. Kavin Malar K (2019-2023 Batch), delivered a lecture on “Cracking GATE: A Roadmap to Success” on 31st July 2024.
• Mr. Praveen Raj A S (2014–2018 Batch), Managing Director, Blend Group of Companies, Chennai, was invited as the Keynote Speaker for a panel discussion on "Innovation and Startup Ecosystem," organized by IIC-SVCE on 6th July 2024.

• Ms.G Monisha (2018-22 Batch), Senior Engineer, L&T Constructions, Chennai delivered a Guest Lecture on “My Experience at L&T” on the Valedictory Ceremony of CEA held on 16/05/2024 (02.30 pm to 03:30 pm).
• Ms. Kavin Malar K (2019-23 Batch), M.Tech, IIT Tirupati, Alumna delivered a lecture on “Alumni Success Story” in Pathways 2024 on 27th April 2024.
• Ms. Kaavya R (2017-2021 Batch), Interior Designer, Archifracts Design Studio, Chennai, delivered a Guest Lecture on “Materials and Finishes in Spatial Design” for the first- and second-year students of Civil Engineering on 19th March 2024.
• Ms. Sharadha Lakshmi S (2018-2022 Batch), Civil & Structural Engineer, Technip Energies, Chennai, delivered an Alumni Talk on "My Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry as Structural Engineer" on 9th March 2024.
• Mr. Pradeep A (2012-2016 batch), MD, Sekaran Foundations, acted as external judge for the Third Edition of iCUBE - National Level Intercollegiate Technical Event, organized by The Students’ Council in association with The Science Club, SVCE on 17th February, 2024.
• Mr. Muthu Karuppan K (2016-2022 Batch), Research Aide, Kyl Center for Water Policy at Morrison Institute, U.S.A. delivered an Alumni Talk on “Higher Studies Opportunities for Civil Engineering Students in U.S.A'' on 29th January 2024.
• Mr. Praveen Kumar V (2017-21 Batch), Senior Design Engineer - Civil & Structures L&T Construction, Power Transmission & Distribution -International, was organised to celebrate National Engineer’s Day on 15th September. He delivered a talk on “Case study on the Structural Casualties due to Disastrous Earthquake - Turkey and Syria”.

Alumni Scholarship

• The SVCE Alumni from the 1985-89 batch have been sponsoring the tuition fees Rs.55,000 for girl student Ms. Prathiba S (Reg. No.2127200401010) - II Year Civil Engineering (Batch 2020-24) based on her financial need and good academic performance in the first year of study, to enable them to carry out her studies without worrying about the financial requirements.
• The SVCE Alumni from the 1985-89 batch have been sponsoring the tuition fees Rs.25,000 for girl student Ms. Harini A (Reg. No.2127210401004) - II Year Civil Engineering (Batch 2021-25) based on her financial need and good academic performance in the first year of study, to enable them to carry out her studies without worrying about the financial requirements.

Outstanding Civil Engineering Student Award

The alumni-sponsored “OUTSTANDING CIVIL ENGINEERING STUDENT AWARD” is awarded to the best all-rounder student of the department from the academic year 2021–2022. A cash prize of Rs. 5,000 along with a citation will be presented on College Day.

Alumni Association - Budding Bright Engineers Award Recipients (BBEA)

SVCE Alumni association offers BBEA every year for II year students. The award carries prize amount Rs. 2500 and Certificate of merit.
