Welcome to the BIS-Student Chapter Department of Civil Engineering SVCE, a pioneering platform that promotes standardization and quality among science students in schools and colleges across India. Our student Chapter is an esteemed initiative by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the National Standards Body of India, with a primary goal of cultivating a culture of excellence and adherence to standards among the youth.

The BIS Student Chapter facilitates:

• Internship Opportunities: Providing students with internship opportunities along with stipends, enabling them to gain hands-on industry experience and practical exposure in the field of quality and standardization.
• Seminars and Technical Sessions: Organizing informative sessions on quality and standardization, featuring experts who share valuable industry insights and practical knowledge.
• Competitions: Conducting engaging events such as quizzes, essay writing and standards-writing competitions to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and student participation.
• Industrial Visits: Arranging visits to industries and organizations to provide students with practical exposure and an understanding of best practices followed in real-world environments.
