The Department has well equipped Laboratories with state-of-art facilities. The Laboratories are as follows:
Basic Workshop provides practice in Basic Mechanical and Civil engineering works like welding, basic machining, carpentary, plumbing and sheet metal fabrication. The shop floor is equipped with power tools, conventional tools and work tables to cater the needs of basic practices by First year students and project work by Pre-final and Final year students.
Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) Lab caters to the need of Design engineering by offering various modelling and analysis software including Creo, ANSYS, MSc Adams.
Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) Lab caters to the need of Design and manufacturing engineering by offering various modelling and machining software tools including Creo, SeeNC Mill, SeeNC Turn.
The lab gives students a hands on experience on Dynamics and Vibration of machine elements. The working models of various mechanisms are present in the lob for better understanding of the concepts.
Machine shop has full fledged production scale lathe and special purpose machines. The machine shop also has a vertical milling centre and CNc lathe.
The mechatronics lab has full fledged experimental and simulation setup for learning low cost automation. The lab is equipped with 3D printing machines and a pick and place robot.
Metrology lab houses sophisticated instruments including CMM, Surface tester etc. to train students in advanced and complex profile measurement techniques.
The Thermal lab caters to the need of experientially learning performance of IC engines, Heat exchangers, power plants. The lab houses a Engine research cell, which facilitates IC engine related research..
